It’s always a good idea to make a habit of backing up your Quickbooks Point of Sale company file, on a regular basis. Backing up your data should be done before you make any significant changes to your company file. It’s much easier to restore from a backup if things do not go smoothly or if you have errors.
You can configure Point of Sale to automatically back up your data after you close the Quickbooks Point of Sale application a certain number of times. When backing up, the app will automatically create a backup to a designated folder you choose within the preferences screen.
